This page says in plain words what happens to your photos and your data when you use Dewshot, on the website or in the app.

The short version

  • Your photos are deleted 24 hours after a retouch. If you tap Keep, we hold that one for 30 days.
  • You can delete a photo, or your whole account, at any moment.
  • Your photos are never used to train or improve any model, ours or anyone else’s.
  • No ads and no trackers.
  • Dewshot is for people 18 and older.

What we collect

  • The photo you upload and the retouched versions we make from it.
  • Your account: an account ID, your plan and how many retouches you have left. When sign-in opens, also the email address or Google account you sign in with.
  • What you told us you use Dewshot for (for you, your content or your clients), so we can suggest a plan.
  • Reports you send about a result, with the reason you chose.
  • Basic technical data to keep the service running, such as the app version and error logs.

What we use it for

To retouch your photo, show you the result, keep track of your retouches and keep the service safe. That is all. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads and we do not use your photos for training.

How long we keep it

  • Photos and results: 24 hours after the retouch, or 30 days after you tap Keep. Then they are deleted.
  • Delete now removes a photo straight away. Delete my account removes every photo and your account.
  • Account data: as long as you have an account.

Who processes your data

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS), in Ireland. Stores your photos and account data and runs our service.
  • The image model provider, in the United States. The retouch itself runs on a hosted image model: Replicate, Black Forest Labs, or a host of Qwen image models. They receive the photo only to make the retouch.
  • Google Firebase. Handles sign-in and the account data that comes with it.

Each of them works for us under a data processing agreement.

Storage in your browser

The web app keeps your session and your Day or Night choice in your browser’s local storage. There are no tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and object to how we use it. Most of this you can do yourself in the app. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Age

Dewshot is only for people 18 and older. A guest gets 1 free retouch without an account; we still ask you to confirm your age first.
